Highlights from Aqua Nor 2025

Aqua Nor has delivered beyond all expectations! We would like to thank all exhibitors, visitors, students and press who have visited the exhibition. The exhibition has been buzzing with people and there has been a fantastic atmosphere throughout the week. The halls have been very well visited, the conversations have been good, major contracts have been signed and we have had exciting lectures, debates and discussions.

CEO of the Nor-Fishing Foundation, Kristian Digre, and exhibition manager Kari Steinsbø, summarize Aqua Nor like this:

– We have had a fantastic exhibition week. Many have signed major contracts and made new contacts. This underlines Aqua Nor’s role as the aquaculture industry’s most important meeting place. We have also reached a milestone in the form of having had over 10,000 visitors during a exhibition day for the first time. Furthermore, we have had s had visits from over 25,000 people during the entire week! We greatly appreciate everyone who has helped make Aqua Nor an event that is attractive to the entire industry.

Monday – Aqua Nor Conference

On Monday, the Aqua Nor conference was held at Clarion Hotel Trondheim. The conference was packed with people, and we are very pleased with the event. Thank you to everyone in audience and our talented speakers.

Recordings of all the lectures from the conference will be published on our Youtube channel and Aqua Nor Digital in the coming days. So stay tuned!

Tuesday – a fantastic opening day

We had a fantastic start to the exhibition when H.R.H Crown Prince Haakon opened the exhibition during a grand opening ceremony. Didrik Solli-Tangen impressed with fantastic singing, and we congratulate GreenFox Marine who won this year’s coveted innovation award.

One of the highlights of the day was the exciting debate on the regulatory conditions in Norway for the industry going forward, in which a number of key politicians participated. The Scottish pavilion had a grand opening as usual, with bagpipe music and a march echoing through the halls, and a number of exciting and topical events and lectures took place.

The day ended with the traditional and magnificent Grand Dinner.

Wednesday – a record-breaking day

Wednesday was a milestone in Aqua Nor’s history. For the very first time, we passed 10,000 visitors during an exhibition day. Furthermore, a number of exciting things happened during the day. For example, we organized, together with Arctic and Wiersholm, an exciting event where politicians and business leaders met to discuss the future of the industry. The temperature, at times, ran very high in the panel debate.

The quality of the stands at this year’s exhibition has never been higher. Choosing 3 nominees was especially hard, but all of the nominees were definitely worthy winners!

In addition, Aqua Nor has never had visitors from so many countries as this year. People from as many as 80 countries visited this year’s exhibition, and we had a chat with some of them.

Thursday – a very good last exhibition day

During the last day of the exhibition, students flocked to Aqua Nor. We are incredibly proud to see how well everyone welcomed the industry’s next generation – and we have heard from many that there have been many exciting conversations and discussions about how we will take the industry into the future.

On the last day of the exhibition, this year’s Student Camp winners and Best Stand were also announced. We congratulate the winners, but also give a big thank you to everyone who participated and put in a great effort in the task they were presented, and ensured that the stands and the exhibition area looked amazing.

We also had a chat with several exhibitors, and with Cflow, who the day before had signed a large and exciting contract with Pure Salmon. Congratulations on the contract!
