Report from the exhibition halls: Did you meet these exhibitors?
21. August 2025 · Ukategorisert
This year’s exhibitors, as usual, have been showcasing a great variety of innovative solutions, products and services for the aquaculture industry.
We had a chat with six of them, who in their own unique way contribute to development, innovation and a sustainable industry.
OXZO: Improves thermal delousing technology

OXZO is a technology company from Chile with offices in Norway. They deliver automatic systems that control and deliver oxygen, air and ozone to fish farming facilities. We had a talk with the CEO, John Marcus.
— It is clear to us that salmon lice is an important issue in the industry, and there is a lot of interest here at the exhibition for our automatic oxygen systems. Our solutions contribute to improving the thermal delousing technology, and make the treatments more efficient, Marcus told us.
Waive AS: Full control over the fish – regardless of weather

This is the third time Waive AS has exhibited at Aqua Nor, and we spoke to CEO Peter Skaugvold, who has been very busy so far!
— We map biomass with sonar on the outside of the cages to get completely accurate data. This provides better control, so that you can count all the fish continuously and follow the development over time – without weather or wind affecting the results.
— I haven’t had a minute alone the first two days – and have had a lot of valuable time with both investors and customers. This is perhaps the most important platform for making things happen in the industry, concludes Peter.
Garware Technical Fibres: Smooth nets for a flush-free future

At the Indian manufacturer of fish farm nets – Garware Technical Fibres – we met Pål Korneliussen, who is responsible for Norway and the Faroe Islands. Together with representatives from different parts of the world, he proudly presented the latest in fish farming nets.
— We are very pleased with this year’s exhibition, and it is and will be a very important international meeting place for us who have customers in over 70 countries.
— The best thing has probably been being able to show off the latest we have to offer, which is a completely smooth net, says Pål, while he lets us feel it for ourselves, on the smooth net that is hanging on display.
Korneliussen says that the net is made with a few percent of metallic copper, which makes it the ultimate net for a washing robot. And the goal is clear: A future where we avoid flushing and can use washing robots exclusively.
Wing Tech: When accuracy counts

Wing Tech delivers precise and gentle fish counters and solutions for welfare scoring of fish, by counting and monitoring the fish in real time. The solutions are used by several of the largest players in the aquaculture industry, both in Norway and internationally.
— It is entirely possible to get the numbers right, and we are proud to be the market leader in accuracy. We have an accuracy of 99.5% when it comes to checking the fish today, and the goal is 99,7% accuracy in 3-5 years, says Product Manager Erlend Haugen Wingan.
— The exhbition has been very good! A clear highlight for us was the aquaculture forum, where we gave a presentation ourselves. It is always fun to talk to others involved in the industry, concludes Wingan.
BossAqua: Significant sale of the net cleaning robot AutoBoss

The New Zealand company supplies autonomous net-cleaning robots worldwide, with about 60 machines already in operation. Their latest cleaning robot, AutoBoss v4.0, is on full display at the stand.
— AutoBoss moves around the net using its walking wheels while performing high-pressure washing, explains Sales Director Tom Elworthy.
This year, BossAqua and Oraseas are exhibiting for the first time – and it has been a resounding success for the new exhibitors.
— Aqua Nor has been fantastic, and we couldn’t be more pleased. There has been tremendous interest, and we are going home with hundreds of new contacts and five robots sold, which we did not expect. We are already looking forward to Aqua Nor in 2027, says Tom Elworthy.
Nogva Motorfabrikk: Over 110 years of reliable propulsion for the aquaculture industry

Nogva Motorfabrikk is a well-established player in the maritime sector with long experience in delivering complete propulsion solutions for the aquaculture industry and small construction boats.
Sales Manager for propulsion, Henning Mathisen, is delighted with this year’s exhibition at their usual stand in tent B, where large, orange engines attract a lot of attention.
— In addition to the vast number of people, the highlight has been the presentation of our newly developed engine, which gathered over fifty spectators, says the proud sales manager.
