Cflow has signed a substantial contract with the aquaculture company Pure Salmon and is set to deliver a complete fish handling system for a new land based facility being constructed in Japan.
CEO of Pure Salmon, Per Ivar Foshaug, and VP Sales at Cflow, Gunn-Marit Nerem, signed the contract on the second day of the exhibition. Consequently, Cflow has secured the delivery of a tailor-made fish handling system for the six buildings of the facility.
“The land based industry is being built as we speak and it is important that fish farmers, academia, and suppliers to collaborate closely to do this properly. A successful project benefits everyone, as evident here at Aqua Nor where knowledge and experiences are shared freely,” says Gunn-Marit, VP Sales at Cflow from their stand in Hall F.

Pioneering project for Pure Salmon
The new facility will have a yearly production capacity of ten thousand tons of Atlantic salmon.
“At Cflow, we have significant experience with adult fish. Meanwhile, Pure Salmon’s technology supplier, Pure Salmon Technology, has a lot of experience with smolt. We’re combining the niche knowledge from all parties and selecting the best parts of it for the new facility.”

“Pure Salmon has ambitions of building additional facilities, meaning, this project will be crucial in building a robust and profitable foundation for their concept in the future,” Nerem adds.
Handling the entire value chain
The delivery from Cflow will cover the entire value chain for fish management in the six buildings, from smolt to slaughterhouse.
“It is a high-tech solution for moving and sorting the fish throughout the entire facility. Everything from valves, pipelines, pumps, and machines for sorting, screening, and counting have been developed with precision to be gentle on the fish and efficient for the operation,” says Nerem.
We congratulate Pure Salmon and Cflow on the cooperation.
