Collecting and recycling name badges is one of several environmental initiatives at Aqua Nor. To encourage participants at Aqua Nor to recycle their access card, one badge is drawn at random, and the winner gets to decide which environmental initiative the Nor-Fishing Foundation should donate 10 000 NOK to.

This year’s winner

At this year’s Aqua Nor, Vegar Lyshaug from Cfeed AS was the lucky winner. Lyshaug chose to donate the 10 000 NOK to the organization Hold Norge Rent (Keep Norway Clean).

– Hold Norge Rent does an impressive job, working together with volunteers across the country. Their activities help keep, among other things, beaches clean, which benefits everyone who enjoys nature, says Lyshaug.

Hold Norge Rent is a non-profit membership organization working against littering. The first cleanup campaign organized by the organization took place in 1969, and the organization is behind initiatives such as Strandryddedagen (Beach Cleanup Day).

An effective initiative

Kristian Digre, CEO of the Nor-Fishing Foundation, says that Aqua Nor is committed to minimizing its environmental and climate footprint.

– For the Nor-Fishing Foundation, the environment is a key concern, and we will continue our efforts to make the exhibition greener. This year, a total of 1800 people recycled their admission badges using the collection stations at the exhibition area, says Digre.
